Hellboy: The Crooked Man | 3rd film to be rebooted in script by Mike Mignola
The cast of the reboot is almost cast and shooting for the new film, Hellboy: The Crooked Man, should begin in March.
The Character Hellboy will return to the big screen, but this time with a new look. The film will get a complete new reboot and this time the script will be, for the first time, in the hands of Mike Mignolacreator of the comic strips.
The producer Millennium Media revealed that Brian Taylor (screenwriter of Ghost Biker e Adrenaline) will direct the new feature film, entitled Hellboy: The Crooked Manwith the script of Mignola e Chris Golden. Negotiations with the cast are basically closed and filming should begin in March.
In the new feature, which should start a new series of films, the character is a rookie agent for the paranormal research and defense agency stranded on a mountain range in the 1950s. There, they discover a small community haunted by witches, led by a local demon with a troubling connection to the past of Hellboy: The Crooked Man.
Hellboy hit theaters in 2004 in a film directed by Guillermo Del Toro and starring Ron Perlman. The feature was given a sequel in 2008 with The Golden Armywhich left a hook for a third, which according to the Mexican filmmaker would show the Vermelhão as the Beast of Revelation.
