Ant-Man 3| Director confirms connection between M.O.D.O.K. and Yellow Jacket!

[Warning: following text contains a slight spoiler for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania]

First of all, the fans of MCU speculated about the connection between M.O.D.O.K. and the villain of the first Ant-Man, o Yellow Jacket (Corey Stoll). And, with Quantumania about to premiere, the director Peyton Reed has come out to confirm these theories.

In an interview with Screen Rant, while explaining the decision to include in the feature the owner of the acronym for Mental Organism Developed Only for Killing, he said:

“M.O.D.O.K. esteve na fila por um tempo. Sei que rolaram conversas para outros filmes, como ‘será que ele se encaixaria? Como que ficaria em live-action?’. Nós chegamos em uma ideia: como levaríamos nossa família para o Reino Quântico, em contato com Kang, como o Kang saberia sobre a Família Formiga? E, então, me ocorreu: ‘o que aconteceu com o Jaqueta Amarela no final do primeiro Homem-Formiga?’”.

For those who don't remember, the final battle between Scott Lang e Darren Cross does not end in death. In fact, the villain shrinks uncontrollably after a malfunction in his costume and disappears. I mean, from the director's statement, you can assume that he, at the very least, ended up in the Quantum Realm. But for those familiar with the theories, it says much more: the chances of M.O.D.O.K. and the Yellow Jacket being the same person increased exponentially.

In addition to the returns from Paul Rudd e Evangeline Lilly in the roles of Scott Lang e Hope Van Dynerespectively, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania counts on Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies) such as Cassie LangJonathan Majors (Loki), as the villain Kangthe Conqueror.

The film officially hits theaters on February 16th.
